History
LDS Łazewski Depo & Partners continues the practice of Łazewska and Łazewski founded in 1995 by Sławomira Łazewska and Marek Łazewski. Łazewska and Łazewski was a leading Polish IP law firm ever since. LDS Lazewski Depo and Partners was established at the beginning of 2009 when two new partners joined the company. This entailed many changes in the company’s brand strategy, name and logo, as well as brought with it new employees, new clients and new strategic cases. The firm has in one year grown from 19 to 29 persons, consisting of patent attorneys, legal advisors and advocates. As a result, LDS is a unique offer on the Polish legal market: a highly specialized, complete IP solution.
An All-round IP Practice
We have a complete and all-around IP practice, always applying state of the art IP concepts from the world in our work in Poland. If you turn to us with any intellectual property and neighboring issues, you will always have the benefit of a single strategic contact and a team of specialists geared toward your needs.
Starting with Strategy
Covering a broad array of IP-related matters allows us to strategically assess every issue.
We see the big picture - the role of an asset within the company, the local and international market implication of decisions, the relationship with competition. All of this allows us to think outside the box and provide strategic solutions. We see ourselves as involved in a long-term relationship with the client, both on the local level as well as internationally.
Dedication to quality
LDS IP was established with a belief that excellence in IP services is best served in an environment developed solely for that purpose. Our partners have been involved in numerous breakthrough cases, which have changed the perception of legal provisions or implemented legal concepts previously known in other jurisdictions in Poland.
In recognition of our efforts, Berenika Depo was recommended as Leading Individual for IP in Poland by Chambers 2009, while Marek Łazewski was recommended as the only attorney for Poland in Who’s who Legal Trademarks for 2009.
Client relationship
Bringing in commercial focus to our work is an essential part of our practice.
We do not just litigate cases or provide opinions on contracts. We solve the problem from beginning to end. To do this, we involve the breadth of human resources available within the firm, trying to solve the problems in a simple and straightforward manner which makes sense not only legally, but also for the commercial side of the business.
We maintain a simple and straightforward line of communication, with one person being the contact point for a client from beginning to end.
Team work
LDS IP was founded on the belief that excellence can only be achieved in an effective and friendly working environment. We value the synergies resulting from the combination of technical, procedural and substantive law skills.
A Learning Organisation
The business of IP is an ever-changing and innovative environment. We not only follow Polish and European case-law and legislative developments closely, but look out for "make-law"-cases and cases on the cutting edge of Polish and European IP where a preliminary reference to the European Court of Justice or an Enlarged Board of the Supreme Courts of Poland is a possibility from the beginning. Our partners and associates participate in internal and external seminars and trainings. We actively participate in the work of various IP associations such as: AIPPI, INTA, LES, ECTA, Marques, PTMG, Ficpi and the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.
We also boast a strong academic relationship. Members of the firm belong to the faculty of the Warsaw University Law School and/or teach industrial property law, copyright or general civil law.
